MORNINGSIDE FESTIVAL

25 July, 2010

The weather kept away and the Morningside Festival saw a great turn out.  The EaST BUG stall saw a lot of attraction from a variety of people - some who were already regular cyclists.  We also met others who were looking to start cycling or who had just moved to the area and were keen to find our more about cycling in the area.

One visitor was telling us that he had more time on his hands and was keen to make more use of the area's bikeways.

The "Guess the Tyre Pressure" competition saw a lot of interest again this year.  On offer was a $50 voucher at Bicycle Riders (600 Wynnum Rd, Morningside QLD 4170).  Our lucky winner was John Williams who correctly guessed 32 psi (yes, it was really that low!).  John was very confident when he put in his entry, and let us in on the secret - he'd just pumped up the tyres on his bike the day before.

Di Farmer, state member for Bulimba, helped us present the prize to John.

Thanks for all those that showed support on the day!
